Joe Ellington
Head Coach

Coach "E", as he is referred to by his players, enters his sixth season as W.S. Neal Middle School Volleyball Coach. In his inauguaral season, the lady Eagles finished with an impressive 8-2 record. Coach "E" gives all the credit to the team's work ethic and the great work of Co-Head Coach Mike Stone. We had a good season last year finishing 10-3. Our kids really worked hard. It has been a lot of fun coaching our kids and working with Mike.

Coach "E" says, "Coach Stone is the consummate volleyball coach. He has so much knowledge of the game, and he is so good at stressing the fundamentals and techniques of the game. We would not be as solid of team without him".

2014 Season

We were able to have another successful season finishing 10-3 again. We struggled at times but our team pulled together in the middle of the season and went on a 7-0 run. We'll be in a rebuilding mode again next year. I was proud for our kids and happy for our school. Mike and I have gone 46-12 over five seasons. I never thought we would of accomplished this record when we started out. The 46-12 record makes our Royal & Black program the most successful female sports program at W.S. Neal.

2011 Outlook

I think we have an opportunity to improve next season. We have a couple of players coming back and some good talent moving up from the sixth grade. I think we have some players that want to be part of the tradition of W.S. Neal Volleyball.
